Whether you eat à la carte in the Restaurant from head chef, Claire Nicholl's, seasonally-changing menu, or have a light lunch in the Ballingham Bistro, you'll experience the skill and innovation of Claire's kitchen team, and the best dining in Hereford.
Claire is one of the country's most talented chefs. She is passionate about sourcing her ingredients as close to the hotel as she can, and works closely with the huge variety of committed producers, including our own Ballingham Farm, whose livelihood is based in Hereford and the Herefordshire Marches. Her menus are imaginative and brilliantly executed, and it's no wonder that the Castle Restaurant is one of the most popular in the county. Don't miss it! See a sample menu here.
We do get busy and we cannot guarantee a table will be available for dinner if you haven't made a reservation. We recommend that you book a table to avoid disappointment.
Breakfast is served from 7am-10am
Coffee and Pastries all morning
Lunch from 12 noon -2pm
Light menu from 2pm until 6.30pm
Dinner from 6.30pm-9.30pm (9pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays)
